When I look back to all the clients that I work with, I would say that the most successful coaches are those who really follow through on the things, the strategies that we talked about, and they continue to refine it and come back to repeat over and over. Those who follow through but then fall off the wagon. They tend to drag on a little longer, they tend to go to one thing and they try something else and they come full circle back to originally what we had talked about. This episode was inspired because I see so many coaches, including myself. When I look back to my journey, I remember I was being very resourceful, and that's one of the problems and also a strength as well, for a lot of coaches out there. You're being very resourceful and when you're someone who's being resourceful, chances are you're spending a lot of time researching stuff, trying to figure out okay, how does this work? You're looking at all different methodologies and strategies and you're trying to bring it into your own coaching business. When you do that, bringing pieces and bits of what have worked on the surface, but you don't know the underlying or the big picture behind why we do certain things and how we do things to make sure that it is working. This episode is for those of you who's feeling that you're building your business and it feels almost impossible because you're being resourceful. You're out there looking for information, you're asking, chat, gpt you have a lot of knowledge, no doubt about that. You got 18 Google Docs, a half-written I help statement accounting calendar. That makes absolutely no sense and you're not really sure where your client is going to come from. And you know it is important to be on social, but you're just not quite sure exactly how that works. Yeah, this one is for you. So what is visibility marketing? If you think about it all the things that you do on social and off social it is about visibility, right, how you get seen is probably one of a few things. You might be creating content, whether it is a blog post, video content, podcast or even a short social media post. Those are opportunities for your business to get seen. So, essentially, content creation is a significant part of how your coaching business will get noticed by people who follow you and those who don't follow you. Even if you're out there and hosting workshop or meetup in real life, you're still producing those content to deliver the value before someone signed up to be your clients. And that, my friend, that is what visibility marketing is all about Letting what you create to become the reason why your audience, your followers, your non-followers they will lean in and want more from you.

Now that you know what visibility marketing is, here's what I see happening a lot with new life coaches. You're out there doing the most right Maybe a few of those things I had just talked about to create your visibility. You're probably already out there and pumping out content. You probably got your Pinterest board ready to go, your vision statement, your Instagram bio all polished up and you might have even signed up to like freebies. Or you bought that $37 Fix my Niche mini course because you know the importance of having an I help statement is going to change everything, but still, after all the content that you're producing, you're delivering.

You end up finding yourself stuck. You're sitting there and thinking wait, what am I missing? Why is this not working yet? It's not because that you're not doing anything. You are doing everything, but you're trying to piece it together with bits and pieces and, honestly, that is not on you, because nobody gave you the big picture on that puzzle box that you're trying to solve. You've been collecting random strategies, random templates, random advice from random people online and while each one have their own unique strategies and methodology and they might work. But since you don't have that big picture, you're trying to build a coaching business, a real business, with all these bits and pieces, information that came from everywhere. So when you do that, it just doesn't quite fit together, does it? Because it's never meant to be? And that is why it feels so hard, because you're grabbing all these different pieces and you're trying to fit that in the puzzle that you're trying to solve, and that's why it feels heavy, that's why it feels difficult and that's why marketing feels like a nightmare.

Do I need to post more? Maybe I need to host a webinar, because everybody else is hosting a webinar. Do I need to be on TikTok instead of Instagram? Maybe TikTok is doing well. I heard YouTube is functioning really well, so let me be on YouTube, girl. No, you don't need to do more. You need orders. You need a real plan that you can ground yourself. You need to stop building your business like it's a patchwork and start building it like a real business with real structure.

So, essentially, one of the reasons why it feels so hard is because you're trying to save money, and I know that one hits pretty hard, right? You're trying to be smart, you're trying to be resourceful and, believe me, I be in your shoes. I did that because there's so much information that's out there. If I can find it on YouTube, if I can have ChatGPT. Help me map it out. Why should I be hiring a coach? You're doing the whole. I will figure it out on my own thing, which I totally get it totally. But I need to say this you can't save your way to your success. You just can't. At some point you're going to have to invest, not in getting more stuff, not in another $9 or $17 or $37 template or mini course that just sits in your inbox, that you don't even go back to it. You forgot that you ever signed up to it.

What you need is in the structure. You need the strategy, you need the clarity and you need someone who can actually help you to connect all the dots and all the pieces and bits that you have grabbed together and to show you the big picture of why this works and how it works, because DIY is fine until you become your own bottleneck, and most of the time, that's exactly what happened. So if you want to build a real coaching business, it's not built by bits and pieces. It's great that you're finding information out there online, you're watching video, you're listening to podcasts. All these are great information, but when it comes to building your own, you need to have a big picture of what does that look like and how do I connect these dots to make sense out of this? That means you need to have a clear of saying it that makes you stand out so that they know why you, with a simple client attraction strategy so people can find you and hire you. Finally, once you have all these pieces together, then you will have the confidence in showing up consistently, feeling you know exactly how to articulate and articulate well, because visibility only works if you use it and you let it work for you. So the big picture behind a profitable, positioned, purpose-led coaching business is the one that actually connects all the dots between passion, positioning, package, promotion and your paycheck.
