Just a quick reminder and housekeeping how this monthly coffee and coaching club works. So once a month, we're going to meet and I'm going to give you a bite-sized coaching session, a training session, where I'm going to teach you some simple and strategic way of getting seen more of the tactic way to get clients, and then I will open up the floor to hot seat coach to get clients. And then I will open up the floor to hot seat coach so you can actually get feedback instantaneously and also get the clarity and maybe a loving kick in the pants, your choice. I will highly encourage you to actually attend this session live, just because you get an opportunity to hot seat with me, so that anything specific that you're going through or you're focusing on that I can help you moving forward. And also, if you know a coach who needs this kind of support, this kind of community, please do share the link with them. And if you're looking for a deeper support you're trying to get your business going, I will also share my calendar with you so that you can grab a strategy call with me. All right, so today we are going to talk about how to simplify, to be seen, raise your virtual hand.

Speaker 1:

If summer has been quite an activity for you, you have tons of stuff to do. It's a struggle to decide what to do first. Right, is it going to the baby shower, is it going to the beach? Is it going to a vacation? And, depending on your niche, you might have this experience where you're noticing that during the summer season it might be your slow season in your business, like people are just traveling more, spending more time outdoor, so they're not necessarily glued to the screen. So no matter what you post on social or what you talk about what you're offering, there's not a whole lot of traction and probably your calendar is getting a little lonely and you yourself might have a lot of family activity as well, plans that you need to go somewhere, right, but somewhere along that line of activity that we have to do.

Speaker 1:

We also have that negative self-talk. The negative self-critics start showing up and say, but I really need to be spending time working on my business, why am I not? So also raise your virtual hand if that's what you're feeling like I should be really working on my business when I'm here on the beach. So if you're bouncing between the idea of I need a break to I need to do more, then this is what this training is going to be for. I want to make sure that you actually stay in the game while setting your calendar and your email on automation, while you can block out your calendar out of office mode throughout the year, out your calendar out of office mode throughout the year. This is something that we'd encourage you to do is actually opening up your calendar and block out the month, the week, maybe the day that you said absolutely no to client work or coaching or have anything to do with the business. Totally okay with that.

Speaker 1:

First and foremost, probably no one said this to you, and you're probably thinking, michelle, do I need to be on LinkedIn, instagram and TikTok all these different platforms and the answer is no, especially during the summertime. So what? I would suggest that step number one. What you do is you pick the battle that you want to win. So what is your anchor platform? There's a primary anchor platform where it is the one, the only one, that you will go to, no matter what. Okay, whether you're on vacation mode or not on vacation mode, that's the only platform that you would like to get seen on and that's where you create your consistency. So forget about all these other platforms that you have to cross, pose or create different type of format.

Speaker 1:

Consistency is about showing up on that anchor platform often. So what is that one anchor platform for you. It doesn't need to be on all the platforms. It could be on LinkedIn only, and that's where your people will know you and where you put all your basically where you plant your flag in and say this is where I'm going to share my idea, value and visibility magic. It could be just your email. Hey, this is for throughout the year. My email is going to be my go-to place where my people will get to know me and that's your anchor place. It could be Facebook, it could be LinkedIn, it could be YouTube, pinterest, that one place you can easily commit to, even on the busiest week that you have. For me, for example, I open up my eyes and the moment I open, I go to Facebook. So Facebook is my primary anchor platform. Now, I may be present on other platforms, but even if I'm missing out on LinkedIn, I don't feel I missed out because my anchor platform is on Facebook. So even if I can just post one post I accomplish, I check off the box during the summertime, so I don't have to stress out about creating all these different types of posts. Once you pick your anchor platform, you're ready to do my two other things.

Speaker 1:

So during the summertime, when things get slow on your client side, it would be a great time to build your authority and your credibility. If you look at, let's say, for example, wellness and health niche, your people probably are more likely to be active and they're looking for a solution, probably right around the holiday, right Right after the holiday, maybe in March, where they start really looking for help. They really they try it in January. It didn't work. February comes they're still feeling stuck. March, they're ready. In January, it didn't work. February comes they're still feeling stuck. March, they're ready to actually work with somebody. So March might be your busiest time of the year for you, whereas the summer, when everybody is out doing stuff, they're not thinking about looking for coaching. There's more daylight, they're out there less screen time, so coaching is not going to be on the top of their mind.

Speaker 1:

But for you, right, what you can do is to build your authority and your credibility. So how do you do that? There's two things that you can do. One is you can pitch yourself to speak or to get featured. So there's podcast opportunity that you can look for during throughout the year, but particularly true in the summertime. There's a lot of people are looking for guests because they're looking ahead. They're planning ahead in terms of who do I want to invite for the third quarter, for the fourth quarter. A podcast host is always looking to plan ahead in terms of who they want to invite for their future episode. So this would be a great time to pitch for speaking to get featured.

Speaker 1:

One of the plays that I look for feature article or feature publication is on Herald Help a reporter out. There is a membership fee but it's $20 a month and what you get is a list of all the journal publications and news media that's out there and they have topics specific for you to pitch. For example, someone might be looking to write an article on how to eliminate the sugar rush or how to stop the sugar rush, or how to connect to a new career, how to find goals, how to define goals, and when you get those topics, you would then write to the publisher and say I am a transition coach, I'm a wellness coach, and here are the topic and here's my perspective, and they'll ask you to include where is your website, how do they find you and when they pick your insights, you'll get featured on their article. So that's one of the ways to build your authority and build your credibility, and those would be a great thing to do during the slow season. There's also a local summit and Instagram Live.

Speaker 1:

People are always looking for guests to go on Instagram Live to help them to create their content. How do you look for them? A Facebook group is great Groups, or sometimes, if you just jump in and say hey or post on your wall and say, hey, I'm looking to collaborate, I'm looking to collaborate with other coaches who's doing Facebook Live, and you yourself can actually host Facebook Live or Instagram Live. Right, these are something that you can do and invite others. If you can find it somewhere else, I always have this theory about if you can't find it somewhere else, then go ahead and create it yourself. One of the whole reasons I created the podcast was because I like to be a guest on someone else's show. And how do I get to someone else's show? Hey, I have a podcast. Would you like to be on mine so I can be on yours, and so it becomes an exchange of interest that it's a mutual benefit. So that would be something to consider.

Speaker 1:

If you've been thinking about doing more live or videos, maybe start inviting others to do it with you and it's also a great way to practice, and that you could totally do it during the summertime. Turn on your phone, you shoot a video. So summertime would be. So that's number one one. The first thing that you can do very easily is just building your authority and credibility. Now the second thing that you can do that you can stay in the game and without having a whole list of things to do, is you can still stay on top of your client's mind by offering a summer pop-up service.

Speaker 1:

Now, these are small, bite-sized service that will keep you in your avatar's mind for those who are scrolling, who are checking out your social media, who are thinking about I wanted to try coaching, but I'm not really sure you can give them a kind of like a bite-sized offer. So, for example, confidence reset session. It would be a 60-minute session to help them to reframe the limiting belief that's holding them back during the summertime. And it's a one session, one time. That would first of all give you some revenue to replace your free discovery call. It's still a 60-minute session, but you're calling it a confidence reset session and you're actually charging them for maybe $125, right, for 60 minutes. They jump in. You actually coach them through it and if they want more, then you can offer them and say, hey, this is something that you would like to do throughout the year. This is how I help, this is how I work with clients. Let me know if you wanted to take a step further for the rest of the year, and totally okay if you don't want to.

Speaker 1:

So, during the summertime, offer them something small, a smaller commitment that would make them feel more easily that I can jump into. It could be what's next would be what's next life alignment intensive. It could be just two days or two hours. For women who's facing at a crossroad and maybe they're going through some career relationship transition or empty nester and you help them to. Just maybe a smaller session could be two session and you charge them for 97. So that's a mini session. That's low ticket, low commitment, low bar to cross. So those are the two ideas that will keep you on top of your advertised mind during the summertime and it also gives you some time to actually to walk away, to enjoy your time and freedom, to be with your family or the things that you like to do.

Speaker 1:

Okay, if you need like a whole list of other ideas of what to offer. I have a whole list of other ideas. There's also audio only coaching. You'll see this happening a lot, where people are offering the Voxer access. You get the voice recording or you get the voice access to me. I will coach you through the audio only coaching. Those are great for introverts, especially introverts, where they don't want to jump onto the screen with you, and it could be a mini session packaged together. It could be a pick my brain bonus office hour or something like this. Right, a monthly thing where it's a low bar to cross and you create a community for people. People like to come together and there's not a whole big community on the table. Okay, so just recap real quick how you show up just enough to stay visible and attract client during the summer.

Speaker 1:

First of all, pick one platform. You don't have to be on all the platform, that's not necessary. And definitely no more hashtag. If you're still using hashtag and stressing yourself out looking for the hashtag, you don't need to do that. Just show up on that platform consistently. And what do you talk about? You can talk about how you are getting featured article, or maybe it's a podcast. You can talk about how you got certified right. Maybe that's not something that you have posted in the past. Those are easy things that you can schedule out. It doesn't change so much. It's like your evergreen content that you can share on social and schedule them ahead of time, right? If you're someone who posts two times or three times a week, then probably one of your posts is about that authority building. Here's an article that I've written and there you go, you share that and that will buy you some time that you don't have to be on social that much.

Speaker 1:

The other way that you can stay on top of people's mind is offering something that's a low commitment pop-up service a 90-minute session. Get them to jump in, and if they want more, then you can offer them more. With that said, now it is your turn. So I would love to hear, with all that being said, what is that one anchor platform for you for this month? Where would you like to be? You can drop that into the chat, and then my follow-up question would be what's one summer visibility move that you're going to commit to?

Speaker 1:

I already know the answer for some of you, you're already posting consistently. Or some of you, you're already posting consistently, but what are you committed to do? And that is a wrap on today's coffee and coaching session. Short, powerful and just what your coaching business needs, right?
